How long does it generally take to receive my Remembrance Film?
Generally after the first Story Planning Meeting it will take about a month to receive the final product. After the Story Planning we like to schedule the Remembrance Filming at least a week afterward so that you have time to mull over questions. Then, after the Remembrance Filming the editing process will take one to two weeks depending on our editors!
Do I need a Remembrance Film?
We would encourage any senior citizen with stories to share to purchase a Remembrance Film! We are sure you have wonderful stories to share that your family would love to be able to cherish for generations through film.
I'm not a senior citizen, but I would love to buy this for my mom or dad, is that possible?
Of course! We would love to work with you to help create your parent's Remembrance Film. We would need to involve them in the process, but you are certainly welcome to start the process for them!
Is this a good gift?
Yes! For a birthday, mothers and fathers day, or even Christmas! If you are looking for a unique experience and product to make your mom or dad feel loved and cherished, a Remembrance Film is a great option!
Can I buy just the Remembrance Filming? (No Story Planning Meeting)
A requirement for getting your Remembrance Filming scheduled is having completed a Story Planning Meeting. The Story Planning is crucial to the personalization of each film, and will help us get to know you better and also inform you on how to be a good interviewee, among other things.
Can I pay using a check?
Yes! Through the online booking, there should be an option to select in person payment.
Are there refunds?
We can provide refunds up until 24 hours before the shoot is scheduled! Due to the nature of a production company and video business, once we have shot and edited your video, there are no refunds. We hope that the Story Planning Meeting will help you make an informed decision on whether you want a Remembrance Film.
How long does filming take?
We block out 1.5 hours of time per video. This includes you arriving, getting mic'ed up, the recording, and then leaving. This does not mean the full 1.5 hours will be taken up by solely recording. Usually that is only around 1 hour of the blocked out 1.5 hours.
How long will my Remembrance Film be?
After editing, and depending on the length of your answers, your film could be anywhere from 30 minutes to 60 minutes!
Can I get multiple Remembrance Films done?
Of course! If you feel that one hour is not enough to cover everything you have to say, we can schedule back to back blocks of time for you. For every added hour of recording, the added fee is $299.
